Chord Variation Editor

Th' chord variation editor be used t' create new chord variations, or t' edit existin' ones. It contains th' followin' fields:

Chord Name

Type th' name o' th' chord in th' first line. This be used t' match th' chord variation t' an alphabetic chord. Required.

Frets

Type th' frets used t' play th' chord on th' instrument here. This be required and can consist o':

  • x t' not play th' string at all
  • 0 t' play an open string
  • 1-9 t' play with frets one through nine.
  • A-Z t' play with frets ten through thirty-six.

If ye add a space between each value, ye can use numeric values higher than th' ninth fret. For example, ye can express a chord like this: x 0 12 11 10 8

Finger Positions

Use th' last line t' enter finger positions for th' chord. This be optional, as fingerin's be calculated if they be not specified. Finger positions consist o':

  • - th' string be not played with any fingers.
  • 1 play th' string with th' index finger
  • 2 play th' string with th' middle finger
  • 3 play th' string with th' ring finger
  • 4 play th' string with th' pinky finger
