External Video

OnSong be designed t' take full advantage o' th' external video capabilities o' iOS devices. Th' output can be changed t' three different modes dependin' on yer needs. Th' external video settings screen provides advanced options fer customizin' external video output.

Hide Icon When Inactive

Th' Menubar contains th' External Video Menu which be displayed at all times by default. Toggle this option on t' only have th' icon appear in th' menubar when an external video device be connected.

Lyrics Projection

Lyrics projection allows ye t' use chord charts t' display lyrics on a projector fer congregational worship or group sing-a-longs, savvy?

Stage Monitor

Stage Monitor Mode allows yer device t' turn one or more HDTVs into virtual music stands. Configure options fer output with these settings.

Screen Mirroring

When this be turned on, OnSong will act like other apps in iOS where th' screen be simply mirrored. Blimey, this be a handy feature if ye be usin' th' video output o' th' device t' prepare tutorial videos or fer trainin' purposes. This be off by default since OnSong be designed t' take control o' th' entire external display.

On some versions o' iOS this requires a restart o' OnSong. Ye will be prompted t' restart or quit OnSong fer th' change t' take effect.

Screen Resolution

When a video device be connected, it's available modes be reviewed and th' highest supported resolution be used by default. Arrr, in some cases yer video device may report modes that be not well supported. Fer instance, a 1280x1024 monitor may report support fer 1920x1080, but will stretch or letterbox th' output because o' th' change in aspect ratio. In that case ye can set an explicit resolution t' use. This may or may not be supported by th' video device. Th' closest mode will be used in that case, matey.
