Foot Pedals
Th' foot pedals settin' screen allow ye t' perform many o' th' functions o' th' Foot Pedal Setup Screen without th' graphical user interface. Options include:
Actions
In this section, ye can choose actions fer each pedal. Remember that pedals with two foot switches would be pedals 1 and 3.
Scroll Behavior
When a scroll down or scroll up action be performed, it can be handled in various ways. These include:
- Scroll Page scrolls down th' screen a certain percentage o' th' height o' th' screen. By default this be 75% o' th' height and can be set in th' scroll amount slider below. Default.
- Jump t' Section moves through th' sections o' th' song. Not only does this select th' section, but also scrolls it into view.
- Jump t' Page be used when viewin' PDF files or text-based chord charts that have page breaks added. This will scroll th' song t' th' top o' each page.
- Jump t' Song will not scroll th' song but rather navigate back and forth through th' set.
Half Page Scrollin'
When pedal behavior be set t' Jump t' Page, it may miss content if th' device be in th' landscape orientation. Half page scrollin' allows scrollin' t' occur halfway through a page with th' followin' options:
- Automatic will use half page scrollin' when th' page be longer than th' height o' th' screen and not scroll in half pages otherwise. Default.
- Off will never use half page scrollin'.
- On will always use half page scrollin'.
Disable Section Navigation
When lyrics projection be enabled in conjunction with foot pedals, OnSong will automatically switch t' th' Jump T' Section scroll behavior t' allow fer controllin' lyrics. Ye can disable this by togglein' this option.
Disable Set Navigation
Scroll up and scroll down actions will normally go t' th' previous or next song in th' set once th' top or bottom o' th' chord chart be reached. T' avoid allowin' OnSong t' navigate th' songs in th' set with th' foot pedals, turn on this option. This will require ye t' swipe or tap th' screen, or use another action t' navigate through yer set.
Scroll Amount
When usin' th' Scroll Page pedal behavior, OnSong will scroll th' page a specified percentage o' th' screen height. Ye can adjust this between 25% and 100%. Th' default value be 75% t' allow some overlap.
Scroll Speed
Animation helps maintain context through th' scrollin' action. Ye can adjust this speed from zero seconds (no animation) t' three seconds. Default be 0.3 seconds which be th' standard animation speed o' scrollin'.
Forward Pedal Trigger
Th' forward pedal trigger be an action t' take th' first time th' Scroll Down foot pedal be pressed. This allows one foot pedal t' have multiple uses. After th' action be triggered, th' pedal returns t' its normal scroll down action. Options include:
- None performs no action and scrolls down on th' first press. Default.
- Audio starts th' audio track playback.
- Autoscroll begins autoscrollin' th' chord chart. Note that ye can also set an autoscroll trigger t' perform more than one action at a time like starlings audio and autoscroll simultaneously.
- Metronome toggles th' metronome.
Start Set Trigger
When usin' foot pedals t' navigate t' th' start o' th' set, ye can have an action performed when th' scroll up pedal be pressed at th' beginnin' o' th' set. Options include:
- None performs no action. Default.
- Show Songs List will display th' songs menu t' pick a different list or song.
- Previous Set will load th' previous set in th' currently selected list o' sets. Fer instance, if ye choose a set folder in a particular order, then th' set precedin' th' current set will be loaded.
Finish Set Trigger
When usin' foot pedals t' navigate t' th' end o' th' set, ye can have an action performed when th' scroll down pedal be pressed when on th' last song o' th' set. Options include:
- None performs no action. Default.
- Show Songs List will display th' songs menu t' pick a different list or song.
- Next Set will load th' next set in th' currently selected list o' sets. Fer instance, if ye choose a set folder in a particular order, then th' set succeedin' th' current set will be loaded.
Pedal Setup
When usin' th' Foot Pedal Setup Screen, a graphical representation o' th' pedal model be used. However, ye can set up other pedals usin' this screen.
Show Icon in Menubar
This option will show th' Foot Pedal Setup icon in th' Menubar. Turn this off t' remove th' icon form th' menubar. Default be on.
