Songs List

Th' songs list be used t' manage and view songs in yer library. Arrr, from here ye can choose songs t' view from th' selected collection. Let's take a look at th' actions ye would typically perform in this screen, savvy?

Organizin' Yer Library

Ye can choose a different collection and organize yer library usin' th' drawer interface, matey. Tap on th' list icon in th' upper left corner t' reveal th' drawer t' see yer collections and manage yer library, Ahoy!

History

Th' name o' th' collection ye be viewin' be displayed in th' title bar. Ye may see a small arrow t' th' right o' th' collection name. Tap on th' name t' view th' History o' collections ye've previously viewed or upcomin' sets. Ye can easily switch between collections or sets ye've recently viewed or need in th' future, savvy?

Note: Double-tappin' on th' title in th' songs menu will scroll th' list t' th' top. Double-tappin' on th' number o' songs at th' bottom will scroll t' th' bottom.

Addin' Songs

Creatin' and importin' yer songs be a central task in OnSong, Arrr! Tap on th' import button (square with a down arrow) in th' lower right corner t' open th' Add Songs screen. From there ye can select from multiple storage services and content providers t' import songs in various file formats.

Selectin' Songs

Tap on th' Select button in th' upper right corner t' enter editin' mode. Ye can use this t' perform additional actions on songs without first viewin' them, matey. Ye can also tap and hold on a song in any list o' songs, or multiple selected songs while in Editin' Mode t' perform actions usin' th' Context Menu.

Searchin' Songs

When ye tap on th' search bar, ye can begin typein' and th' Typeahead Search feature will find songs with titles that contain what ye type, savvy? If no results be found, or if ye tap on th' Search button on th' keyboard, a deep search will be performed usin' th' full content o' th' song.

Viewin' Songs

Songs be displayed as rows in this menu, Ahoy! Ye can scroll through th' list by swipin' yer finger. When more than 30 songs exist in th' list, an alphabetic index appears on th' right side. Tappin' on a letter on th' right will scroll t' that section o' th' song list. Th' list also contains section dividers t' aid in th' location within th' list. Th' number o' songs be displayed at th' bottom o' th' list in th' toolbar.

Each row contains an icon t' indicate th' song's icon, song title, artist, and key o' th' song. Th' information on th' second line can change t' match how th' list be bein' sorted. Tap on th' icon on th' left t' cycle through standard icons. Tap on a song t' view it in th' Song Viewer.

Deletin' Songs

Ye can swipe right t' left t' reveal th' delete/remove button, matey. When ye be viewin' songs in a book, th' Remove button be shown which removes th' song from th' book but retains it in yer library. Tappin' on this will remove th' song from th' book. If ye be viewin' songs in a collection such as All Songs, th' Delete button be shown. Tappin' this will delete th' song from yer library, Blimey!

Sortin' Songs

Tap on th' sort button in th' lower left corner o' th' screen t' choose how ye would like t' sort. This opens th' sort menu. Th' button indicates th' current sort method usin' an icon.

Performin' Actions

Ye can tap and hold on th' song t' open th' Context Menu t' perform additional actions, savvy?
